Frequently asked Questions:
- Why would I need OSB?
- This helps with the overall build process, it’s a little easier to work with the building when sheathing.
- Maybe you need an additional insulation factor.
- Should my Trusses be 4ft or 2ft on Center?
- Post Frame buildings do not need a 2ft on center truss spacing like many traditional stud framed homes.
- What’s the current lead times?
- Once fully designed you can expect a 4 6 week lead time on standard builds.
- Are the buildings Engineered
- The Trusses and 3ply Posts are Engineered
- Do I need an Architect or Engineer
- If you choose to build a Barndominium style post frame building than yes you will need to involve an Architect and Engineer.
- For Ag Buildings you will be fine to submit the provided plans to the building department.
- Do I need a Permit to build these Buildings
- Some Municipalities are different, however the answer is most often, Yes.
- Can you design the building for me?
- Yes we can, however the whole business model we offer is design control at the tips of your fingers. We have designers on staff to fine tune your design or completely design it.
- Keep in mind our detailing department will need to be compensated for their time, we offer affordable building packages and that requires some elbow grease on your part.
